Canadian Association for Humane Trapping

The Mission of the CAHT is "To abolish the pain and suffering of animals trapped for any reason". This Government of Ontario website provides information on rehabbing and the requirements to become an Authorized Wildlife Custodian.  An excerpt from the Backgrounder (January 12, 2006) Wildlife Rehabilitation in Ontario cites:

Under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, 1997, wildlife custodians are authorized to provide specialized temporary care to sick, injured and orphaned wildlife so that they can be returned to the wild.
